Energy Boosting, Reviving workouts 27/04/2009

As you all know I ended up having a break from my Pantheress transformation. But this week undergoing week 6 has been amazing. I know I feel better when I train, even though it does you good to have a good rest every now and again.

What has this weeks training entailed? Vomet Comet (Hill Interval Training) a couple of strength sessions, including some isometrics and a session aptly named The Pain Train, which includes Jump Squats, Pull Ups amongst other things.

The only exercise that gave me any problems was a Glute-Ham Raise which was a little problematic due to the issues I am having with my Glutes and SI joint, which were highlighted on my recent KCA course. But I adapted it to a static range hold and all was well and functioning.

After just doing the last workout of week six this morning , into week 7 I go, feeling better and having lost any extra little bits of fat I had put back on during my break, not that much really but noticeable to me.

Today is a busy day of clients in Torviscas and the gym at Adeje. I´m going with jelly legs and a smile on my face ;-)

After two weeks of one thing after another interfering with my Fat Loss Action Blueprint programme. I am ready to pick up where I left off…

I was sporadic at best in week 5, week 6 was a non starter! Between Missing buses from London to Liverpool, having no internet access and my family wanting to just have a holiday without me running off and leaving them to do my training sessions.

Arrrrrgh… Had trouble sleeping in my London Hotel last night. I couldn’t hear the sea and got all the sounds that come with sleeping in Islington, London at the weekend.

Anyway 6am and I had 2 hours before breakfast. So challenge time.

I am sad to admit it folks that this week has pretty much been a non starter for me and my Storm Force Fat Loss programme. I have been taking bits and pieces out of week 6 programme as I haven’t had the time to fit full workouts inbetween clients and kids stuff, there seems to have been a lot on in the run up to Semana Santa (Easter Week)

Also part of weeks 6-8 is Fasting… based Brad Pillons on Eat Stop Eat philosophy

This weekend I am off to London to do a KCA course with Dax Moy so will be doing some hotel workouts with no equipment, although not following  my programme I will still be doing something. Ill let you know how it goes…..

It has been fun. Vomet Comet was finished just half and hour ago and I thought I’d quickly log in and let you know my progress before I go and replenish my energy.

I had mentioned earlier in the week about how I had struggled with energy to do my calorie burning, fat busting workout but since then I have re-evaluated my reasons for doing the programme and I am in the process of putting my mind map into a list form so that I can get it posted up on the web.

But very briefly….lets have a quick look at  what these training sessions are designed to do….

INCREASE STAMINA

IMPROVE CARDIOVASCULAR FUNCTION

BURN FAT

INCREASE METABOLISM

Now, whilst many people would just be looking to lose weight or get a flat stomach, lose the flabby arms or the thunder thighs..this programme will do all of this.. and more!

Next weeks workout seem to be a little less intense… apparently so that we can get some recovery in before being ‘pummeled’ in weeks 5,6 and 7! Bring it on ;-) And before  I forget I …..pics, they have been taken but I haven’t posted them this week… My flexibility has improved…I don’t have any aches and pains other than those directly resulting from my training. So it’s all good and I am a happy test dummy :-)

During my workout yesterday… I don’t mind telling you I struggled!

But how would I turn my body into that of an athlete?

My bed was very appealing!!

And I was very aware of lacking my usual ‘fizz’  as I was plodding through the training session.

It’s not  that I wasn’t enjoying the session. But I found I had such a lack of energy and there was no one there to shout at me, so you know what happened… the little voices started….

When I talk about this, it makes me smile… I openly admit that I hear voices in my head… Didn’t people used to get locked up for that??

It’s not that you can’t do this, it’s just that you don’t want to…. I don’t have to do this as I am not overweight so stopping now isn’t going to have any major impact. I’m already fit and healthy so errr what’s the point here…

I suddenly caught this chatter whilst I was in the middle of my 5th or 6th set of 45 second burpees.

And suddenly I reaslied that whilst I had subscribed to this programme of intense training, because Jon Le Tocq had asked for help.. I hadn’t actually sat down and gone through the reasons why I WANTED to do this.. now we all know that if we don’t make a point of setting oursleves goals, then you never have anything to aim for!

So that was it… I knew I had to examine my reasons for doing this.  That was after I told the little voices to ‘shut the #@¿Ç up’ of course :0)

So this all ties up with some other work that I have started this week on my goals..

Have you got your mental chatter in order?? Coming this week …some systems on how to STOP the mental chatter and replace with with something useful and motivational. While you are waiting … have  a listen to yourself, you may be surprised by just how much YOU are holding yourself back!

Hey all. This weeks data is as follows……

Measurement wise.. the only change is in the waist measurement. Going down from67cm to 66cm. :-)

The Final two workouts of the week were right up my street, short fast powerful interval work. Thouroghly enjoyable, completely tiring and very quick to do, with both coming in under the 40 minute mark.

If you are looking to lose Fat and change your shape in the least amount of time possible then this programme will do just that.

If you look at my measurements you may not be convinced but you have to remember that I didn’t have too much excess to start with. The more extra fat you are carrying the more marked the results would be.

Hey folks.. I have been looking back over old data and photographs this past few days and I am currently leaner than I have ever been before.

My current training regimen as test dummy for Jon Le Tocq is going to

add to that, but I discovered that I have lost a total of 12″ in the last 2 years. That  is based on my body measurements  at the height of my teaching classes, PTing, training myself etc etc..

Now the most common thought would be, well you lost muscle mass. Whilst  this maybe  a little true, my quad muscles were always pretty big.. BUT. I on looking at the the pictures… it’s not just that!

I used to eat too much.

I’m not talking unhealthy foods, as I have been fairly clean in my eating for quite a few years now. I mean the quantities! I had protein shakes and nuts and veg and salads and steaks etc etc.  I ate all the time to satisfy my energy consumption. Or so I thought!

Since discovering Brad Pillons, Eat Stop Eat, everything has changed!

Personally I started the programme with a 3 day detox then followed the Eat Stop Eat system and am noticing huge differences.

My Arms for example. I remember since being a teenager I wanted shape in my arms.. but even at the height of work (2 years ago) my arms were big but not shapely.. I still had excess fat  covering the muscles. Not anymore!

If you are struggling to get that last little bit off, or if you are looking to start anew.. Eat Stop Eat really is a wonderful programme and it gets results without having to count calories or blocks etc etc.

Well folks you have been kept up to date with what has been happening this past week. But it’s the time for stats and pics again….

Measurements are…

Hips..92.5cm (down)

Waist..67cm (down)

Thigh  R .. 55cm (down)

Thigh L.. 55cm (down)

Bicep R..27cm (up)

Bicep L..27cm (up)

Calf R..37cm (up)

Calf L..37cm (up)

So a couple of changed measurements there. I think the most noticeable on the pics is the waist line. Although I still look wonky! :-)

Feeling good today after finishing ‘Rowers Hell’ although the front of my thighs feel like they don’t belong to me anymore!

We have next weeks schedule which looks like it will prove to be just as intense.. perhaps even a little bit more so than this past week! You can feel the energy buzzing after the workouts! That’s for sure!
